It landed up in the stands very close to a marker of 450 ft... so I don't think it was much more than that.
Look at those names on that list, makes me so proud to say that he is an Astro and will always be one.
That wasnt the 450 foot marker to the best of my knowledge...rather it was the number of the section (455). It had to be way over 450 feet in total distance, 500 would not be that far of a stretch at all for where it landed with the trajectory of the ball factored in.
That game was craaazy fun! Man, SO close. Lance's homer was on a DEAD LINE to me! Except it landed about 10 rows in front of me.. I was thinking "I'm in the upper deck...no WAY this keeps coming like it seems". But yeah, you know how far it traveled. I still wouldn't have had time to hop the rail and run down 10 rows. Plus there was no one between me and the chick that got that ball...a bunch of empty rows. It was freakin hilarious though...his homer was still on a line, and it just nailed her right in the chest and fell to the ground. She reached over, picked it up, and held it high and proud like a good Nats fan would for an opposing team's homer I definitely gave Zach Day a nice standing O when he left the game, cause he did his job well. Go stros! I'll be over in the Right-Center upper deck today...Lance feel like pulling the ball a little?
Sounded like a "thud" when it hit her in the chest. Anyway, fyi, Lance's homer was the first into the upper deck since the baseball came back to DC..sick..
Biggio is in his 19th year and will likely need to go 20 years to get to 3,000 hits. He does not need that to be a first ballot HOFer. Of course, what team does not need a top of the order like the current Biggio? He may play for another five years for all we know.
He's said repeatedly that he want to get to 3000 - feels he owes it to the fans, his family, and the organization - and then retire.
hmm i go to work in about 30 mins, this isn't good since we've lost the last 5 times on days i've come back from work.
Nope... not much offense on either side. Nieve's ball has pretty good movement tonight, and the Stros haven't cashed in on a couple of opportunities against Ortiz.
What the hell is wrong with Willy's glove?!? He's better on his routes, but every missed catch he's had has just bounced off the glove. Ugh.
Lane sucks. He is horrible with RISP. Man bench him for Lamb or Burke. Also Wilson sucks. Trade him to the Yankees.
