Astros are 11-3 since saying goodbye to Jose Abreu.

The duct tape and paste has to hold until we can get Verlander back and Framber's head on straight. It's all gonna come down to those two being able to carry us into and through October.

If we can get McCullers and Garcia back, and have Brown and Verlander and Framber going ok, we could be pretty good.

Why not Cooper Hummel first before Cabbage? Cabbage can at least contribute from time to time

    Cabbage may make Chas expendable.

Money doesn't equate to using your closer the wrong way and set him up for injury.

Besides, Scott has been the Stros best reliever this year. Gotta give him tomorrow off though.

Abreu only played 35 games with the Astros this year.

Should make it easier to send him to Sugarland. I wonder if Chas could bring a leverage reliever in a trade?

Cabbage should stay, he's the 3rd best OF on the team and he can play some 1st

Another steal by Dana. Scott is the best reliever on the team right now. Another steal by Dana. Dana's actually pretty good at his job. I'm hoping Crane gives Dana more autonomy.

I genuinely don't think framber's head will be on straight. gotta accept who he is at this point.

Just hope Bloss pitch well as a rookie and Garcia comeback strong.

I wanna see more Trey Cabbage. His K rate has dropped to a far more sustainable (although still high) 25% thus far, and his contact has been loud AF. It's not like he's some career journeyman, he just turned 27 and only has a small sample of MLB failure prior to this season.

As a lefty who can play 1B and both corners, he could be a really useful platoon weapon. Singleton had a great game today, but I still wanna see us move on from him.

Yep, Cabbage also offers value as a baserunner, and isn’t a butcher if he has to play CF. He’s a very valuable oft-used bench player even if he is striking out 25-30% of the time.
