Please keep this to talk about the series. As usual no Play-by-Play, or general Astros talk. If you need play by play see one of the many other sites that have game casts.

8-27 Nelson Figueroa, RHP vs. Mike Pelfrey, RHP 6:10 on FSH

8-28 Brett Myers, RHP vs. Johan Santana, LHP 6:10 on FSH

8-29 Bud Norris, RHP vs. R.A. Dickey, RHP 12:10 on FSH

Not really much to spoil. They're under .500, 10 games out of 1st and 7.5 out of the WC.

That said, beating the mets is always a good thing.

Their 3 best pitchers against our best pitcher and the back end of our rotation. Figueroa has pitched well since coming here, and Norris has been good since he returned from the DL.

bah! they've still had a better season than us! :p

For a minute there my head was stuck in 08 or 09, or whenever it was they were actually contending recently. Thanks for the correction; my bad.

I can't see Figueroa beating Pelfrey, but with how Myers and Norris have been pitching, I wouldn't be surprised to see LWW. Dickey's knuckleball has been working very well lately, though, so Sunday will be a battle.

Just don't see it. We seem to tail off at the end of road trips this year even in the past few months. Given that, I would have to say LLL, but would love the opposite.

If we can win out the rest of the season we might make the playoffs.
Seriously, I always enjoy beating a New York team even though we haven't had much success against the Yankees.

Wallace swung late on 3 Pelfrey fastballs in that AB.

We had an opportunity to jump on them early but at least we made Pelfrey throw a bunch of pitches.

Figgy with a throwing error and WP in the 1st.

Hernandez' with a wild throw home after making a tough catch.

Beltran steals a base without even a throw.

Not looking sharp as a team here early.

Sanchez with yet another soft throw that barely beats the runner at 1st. Good enough to end the inning though.

Bourn crushed a ball the opposite way that easily gets past Carlos Lee and some other LFers.

Pagan is fast though and makes the grab on the dead run.

What the hell was Johnson doing....looks like he started jogging and wasn't even paying attention.

Man, that was one of the worst baserunning efforts on a ball in play that I've seen in a long, long time.

Not sure what CJ was doing/thinking... pretty unreal. It'll be interesting to hear the explanation.
