Looks like Stros picking 8th in next year's draft so thats a positive and even if we lose Miggy for nothing hopefully one of the Type A free agents declines arbitration and we get some extra high draft picks.
Regardless of how bad the Astros were, I still looked forward to coming home and having them on tv. I also always looked forward to going to games at MMP. I will miss them, but I must say, other than the Cardinals series in July, this season was really short on exciting moments.
The good thing is the baseball season is so long that it starts back up before you know it. Goodbye, 2009 Astros.
So weird that I am looking forward to last year, even if I think the team will suck. I really hope they go young. Johnson, Towles, Manzella, Paulino, Norris, Bazardo, & Gervacio. Then I hope we trade Roy and Wandy in July. Might possibly end up being the worst team in baseball if that happens, but I'm fine with that. They just better win when I take my son to ATL for his first game the first weekend in May.
What void? NFL/College FB are back and the Rockets are right around the corner. This is the best time of year imo.
silly american football fan. baseball is the sport of heaven. the season in which it is not being played professionally is known as the Void. lower, temporal diversions such as american football, basketball, and baking turkeys can alleviate the emptiness, but nothing can fill the Void. except baseball.
