It looks that way. They are on pace for 109 losses now. They would have to go on a relative tear to not lose 100.

Everyone knows that AS game selections aren't made based purely on who is the most deserving. It's a popularity contest and then decisions made without much thought toward OPS and stuff.

Beyond that, Rolen is an 8-time GG with a career OPS of .861. He got picked because of who he is. That kind of thing happens often, right or wrong.

As far as Rolen's numbers this season, remember that he is 36 and at the very end of his career. He was also injured to start this season so he very well may get into a groove and improve his numbers down the stretch. Last season, at 35, he posted an .854 OPS. He jumped ahead of CJ and Polanco after tonight's games.

If you want to go purely off stats, Headley, Roberts, Ramirez and several other near qualifiers have been better than Rolen. You also have to remember that elite 3B like Zimmerman and Wright have missed a bunch of time. Sandoval is better than most 3B as well even coming off a down year.

WOW...Stanton gets that ball up and that bad boy still flying.

Wandy going 6-7 shutout innings would be welcomed on multiple fronts. Seems like any Stro with trade value decided to suck this week minus Barmes.

Why did we keep Corporan over Towles?

Corporan with the make up hit. How does Wandy get charged with an earned run in that last inning?

I don't think I have ever seen a season with this many everyday players hitting under .225.

You'd think some of these guys would want to be traded to contenders but sure doesn't seem so.

This is exactly why I disagree with the "we should keep Hunter Pence because he's going to be part of our future core" argument. This guy is going to want out if we have another losing season and sign with someone else when he becomes a free agent. What self respecting player would want to spend their prime years on a bottom feeding team?

I just tuned in but it appears that Corporan continues to suck at throwing the baseball.

Way to go, Pence... Now trade him to the Indians for a couple of pitching prospects and a decent young bat.

He was bound to run into one the way he's been hacking wildly for the past few games...

I think Wandy heard us saying how if he pitched well enough, we might get something good for him

Trade Hunter Pence right now. I don't think his value will ever been as high as it is right now.

I agree. I don't think Wade will move him. It's like the franchise thinks Pence is a franchise type player when in my opinion, he is at best the 3rd or 4th best player on a good team.
