    It's the NL Central.

    Anything can happen.

Stros are kind of fortunate, contenders are losing players left and right. Larry Jones went on the DL today and expects to miss 2-3 weeks. That could open the door for Bourn and/or Keppinger to come into play for Atlanta. They could move Prado to 3rd but then it leaves ATL with two huge holes in the outfield in Schafer and McClouth.

I don't know about you guys but I just love watching pitchers regress to the norm after we overpay them.

When the Astros signed him to the extension was when I knew Ed Wade was hopeless. Anyone who looked at his stats or his performance could tell that was a career year. The only thing the Astros should have done with him last year is trade him at the deadline for whatever they could have gotten.

Sad part is that Myers actually started out the season pretty well.

McCutchen was just added to the NL AS team replacing Braun...justice.

Crappy inning...Wallace and Barmes do Myers no favors and then the ump squeezes him....this could get uglier quickly.

It did...Myers should have been out of this inning, instead...6-0.

Sad part about tonight is that Myers didn't pitch all that badly, the HR was a solo shot but in the end 5 ERs.

Myers ERA is now 4.88...at this point, you might get a B level prospect if the Stros take on some money. Might just be better to keep him and hope he recovers next season then try to trade him at the deadline in 2012.

Pence still swings at too many pitches way out of the zone. He doesn't do well enough to work counts in his favor where he can improve the chances of getting good pitches to hit.

Brian Bogusevic is Mark Teixeira's much less talented younger brother from another father.

How week is 3B in the NL this year? Scott Rolen was just added to the squad replacing Chipper...he is batting .242 5 HRs 35 RBIs OBP of .275 and an OPS of .673.

Chris Johnson is batting .244 6 HRs 34 RBIs OBP of .284 and an OPS of .675.

Clint Barmes has joined the list of those Stros who have actual trade value.

Now batting .250 4 HRs 16 RBIs OPS of .707....while playing excellent defense(tonight excluded)

Players look foolish when they admire non-HRs.

Them trying to "win trades to save their jobs" is a really stupid way of phrasing it. Who the hell tries to lose when they trade a player? The national media tries to dump on our players all the time to lower their trade value.
I guess they just expect us to hand over Wandy and Pence to the Yankees and Phillies. Any player we trade away is not going to be scrap (except maybe Myers). Bourn, Pence, Wandy, Kepp and Barmes are legit starters on any mlb team. They are all proven commodities and the team getting them knows what they can do. We are the ones taking the risk by getting back prospects so I have no clue why teams don't feel like giving us back something fair in return like a package of one or two players that COULD be better than the player we're sending to them. Offset some of the risk they are sending us with the possibility of a good return.

Wow. Hadn't realized that Rolen had been that bad. I went and checked NL 3B stats after reading this. As sad as it is, only Aramis Ramirez and Ryan Roberts could be argued as more deserving.

So Chris Johnson is playing at an all-star level? Is he now considered a snub?

Ramirez has been hands down the best third baseman this year in the NL. He leads all third basemen in several statistical categories this year. My boy Ryan Roberts should have gotten the nod also based on the fact that he has the league's largest neck tattoo.
