    hah, i somehow had never heard his story, but i just read it and assume it's a pretty infamous one?

    The most infamous one of all. The Rangers had this kid who was supposed to be the real deal. They rushed him to the majors WAY too soon in order to generate a buzz and sell tickets. They completely ruined the kid.

    Yeah, that's just not smart baseball. An 18 year old kid straight out of high school to the majors is unfathomably dumb, lol. If we call up anyone above 18 though, we should be fine.

    WTH? Sampson goes to AAA? It's not his fault. The man is hurt and injured. Give him time to heal and he'll be back to his old self again. :rolleyes:

    He actually pitched very well in his first game. I remember ESPN doing a story about him a few years ago. His arm troubles are why nobody rushes pitchers.
