That ump screwed us and Joe Espada stood there frozen. No words for the ump, no backbone at all. Their is a reason Bregman went to the media to complain about him and why he was so eager to leave. He knows Espada isn't the guy.

Bullshit. Their bullpen has been very good. Espada utterly ****ed the pooch running out their worst one for a 2nd inning because he wanted to milk him and keep guys fresh for later in the season. Instead he’s burned 2 more guys and lost the ****ing game. Espada literally puts in any other RP to start the 8th and the Astros win.
How many times did Espada do this last season? Trying to save arms but ending up using them anyway plus your other best relievers. Happened time after time. We have an off-day tomorrow. Sure try that against a non-division opponent..but these are your division rivals. You go for the kill. Bregman had no faith in this guy.

Bob Nightengale reported a couple of Astro star players complained about Espada's communication style. This came out after Bregman was dropped in the lineup. It was widely suspected one of the star players was Bregman.
In Spring Training did the Astros select the Best Pitchers. I didn't think so. The Pitchers really showed who they are, not MLB Level.
