Agreed about adding pitching, But counting on Garcia is fools gold. I do think JV will eventually be back. But trusting that either of these guys will be healthy and pitching well come playoff time is an unnecessary risk IMHO. Even if this means having to pay more than they reallt want to for another chance at a title.
I forget what the pitch was from Harris but it was nearly off the plate and that b*stard got just enough of the end of that bat to get it out there to hit the pole….uggh, what could’ve been…..
Why is it fools gold? It’s TJ recovery. JV would be a bigger question mark since nobody really knows what his injury was. Every Astros pitcher who’s gone through TJ has eventually pitched when recovered. (And in cases of LMJ and JV, pitched pretty damn well).
Lol, happy to discuss elsewhere… but let’s just say I found this site long before the umpteen amount of school/training to end up doing what I do now.
Gimmie a story? Are you, Tom, in fact, glorious? This was just he first and only time I saw a guy get the same business Tucker got.
I wouldnt call it fools gold but it for sure is an uncertainty. Just look at Walker Buehler this season. Garcia would still be a welcomed addition since we need arms to eat up some of the innings, as the young guys cant keep going like this all year.
By no means am I expecting him to just take the ball every 4th day without fail. But he should pitch in some capacity role this season, bullpen or otherwise, or that means something got re-injured (or something else got injured) in the process… and then yes, all bets are off.
I didn’t think there would be another way to blame Bagwell - but I was wrong. Congratulations on finding another way.
Might as well...but this is where it all turns around https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/42406/george-kirby
It's like we're giving up prospects TWICE for JV after Mets'ing. Only took a handful of other injuries to the rotation to get here... smh Tucker is still alive (I think), so at least there's that.
