He is being overused like crazy.
If the Astros make the post season he will be burned out.

Re-watching the game yesterday and when Abreu's slow butt gets a long single in the gap during the 9th inning and grimaces all the way to first base, why didn't Espada bring in a replacement?
If you are going to burn Hader to win the game, you may as well bring in a defensive replacement for Abreu. Especially with a full bench as they had used no one at that point.

I noticed the grimacing too, almost like he pulled a hamstring. If that moron is hurt and is still hiding it when he knows his ass is on the chopping block that is full on stupid. The IL might be the only thing that could save Abreu's job right now.

I thought I was the only one that noticed that. Had to rewind the play and watch it again.

As I was watching . . . (probably not actually possible), but if Jake or dubon or lopo was out there, that had a chance at a double.

    J. Abreu coming back really destroyed the vibe of the team. This team played with guts the entire time he was gone and now he’s back and this team looks dead again. It’s not a coincidence. Crane and Bagwell are ******* morons. Bagwell especially because he just wanted to come back from Florida because it was his birthday, not because Abreu was ready. Smartest front office to dumbest.
