It does look like he says cono which means cunt but doesn't carry the same weight as it does in English. Maybe some other words as well. Whatever. He gets suspended he suspended. Just win.
In the outrage social media age, what could be more enlightening than watching white people argue about regional spanish slang.
Happy Neris used the 1st amendment to say whatever the f*ck he wanted to that punk.... These mofo's hitting Chas and Altuve and its not news but omg if Hector uses a spanish word that is commonly used in latin america where people aren't so sensative and all of a sudden he crossed the line. F*ck anyone offended by it....
It was fun to watch Schwab correct his tweet without acknowledging either that he was wrong in the first place or that he only learned of it from people who responded.
I think of it like this. If they did that to Yordan, I'd want Maldy punching the pitcher in the face (no need to risk broken hand or suspension for the big guy ). And you don't want to fire up the other side.
I've made an in depth investigation into what Neris said....and by that I mean I asked my token Mexican friend from El Salvador what Neris said and if anyone should be upset by it. He told me that it was no big deal and anyone who was upset by it is a "pinche culero", I don't know what that means, but that's the results of my investigation. Can anyone confirm?
Just because I feel like correcting this every time it's posted on the internets - what's the relevance of the first amendment here again? It doesn't mean the MLB can't suspend you or your opponent can't smack you upside the head. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences. Freedom of speech doesn't supersede rules on private property, or among civilized humans. It means Uncle Sam won't punish you for it. (For the record I don't have a huge issue with what Neris did - other than where the hell did that come from? It's competition, people will say words. But I also have no issue with Seattle retaliating, then.) Let's show the world that Astros fans understand the first amendment. lol
Me either. If there is even the smallest chance that Texas could miss the post season or at least, not win the division, that chance gets my vote.
That’s such a small chance of us winning the division happening. Was really hoping Arizona would win this afternoon and clinch a spot so we wouldn’t have to face Gallen tomorrow but didn’t happen. Definitely root for the Rangers tonight. Edit: Not to mention their bullpen is so trash and we play well in Arlington. I’ll take my chances with Minnesota then going to play them.
