One of the things I hate the most at times like these is post game interviews. We need to do this, we need to do that. Well do it jackasses, get focused and play baseball!!
Nah, pass. He performs best in the 2 hole and its not close. While we are struggling offensively, he should be where he is best. We can worry about what he “should” be when the team is hitting again and we can afford to do that.
GM Bagwell was taking all the questions and making the media rounds before the season started but that dumb beard mfer is a ghost now that his signings are ******** the bed
Maybe it’s time to try him in the leadoff spot again and move Dubon back down. I don’t like those two at 1 and 2, though.
This team will not win the west. Even with folks coming off injury. Wild card team but not winning the West. I have tried to stay positive. Think players are more into selling salsa and making commercials.
Prediction: Abreu will play every game this year at cleanup and finish with 2 HRs and 61 RBIs and Dusty Baker will be "let go".
2 home runs?! Sounds rather generous… And he’s already hit 5th and 6th when Yordan was out. Dusty definitely needs to get him out of the 4 hole, though. You cannot keep hitting him there at this point. It might also alleviate some of the pressure and help get him going if he is, in fact, not washed up.
34 games into the season and Bregman is hitting .195. I guess being a dad has taken its toll on being 100% a baseball rat.
I'm not that impressed with the Mariners. The Rangers are better this year but the Astros with their full lineup is still a better team than the Rangers. Angels can't be trusted. All that being said, the team is flat, complacent, with a poor strategy manager and the hope is that while the team continues to get a little healthier that the above factors don't cause the team to get into too big of a hole. Dana Brown may need to step in and give Dusty some suggestions with the lineup.
The hitters have to perform but the lineup has poor construction right now which is making things even harder. Not giving the team the best chance offensively.
If Brown sits by while Dusty keeps trotting out underperforming lineup orders then Brown isn't doing his job.
The manager can make adjustments, though. There is no excuse hitting Abreu after Yordan. Putting an automatic out behind one of the best hitters in baseball is entirely on the manager. When Pena couldn’t hit leadoff, he moved him. The only hitters who looks worse than Abreu are Maldy and Hensley. I trust Dusty a lot and players love the way he manages, which is important, but he has to make a lineup adjustment. Abreu has fewer XBH than Dubon, Jake, and Julks. At some point you have to point the finger at the manager.
