    Yep, Dusty got burned trying to get LH/LH matchups with Taylor, who pitched well outside of that slider he dedided to tee up to White.

    you would have thought. 5 game losing streak, you'd think Dusty would treat this game like a "must win". but instead, he brings in Dawson to pinch hit instead of Tucker, then leaves Taylor in for the 8th. hmmmmm?????

    He could have pulled him between innings since he got the 3rd out, but once he came out for the 8th the 3-batter rule applies. Taylor made 1 terrible pitch or it might have worked out.

    I think that's only within an inning. Once the pitcher finishes an inning he does not have to come back out.

    The alternative was playing a bunch of rooks. Its worked out tonight but with all the players sitting, you have to play your most experienced.

    You play the best matchups to give you a chance to win. That's RHB vs Kikuchi (who has not given up a hit to a LHB in 3 starts this year).
