Well, to be fair, if you had asked anyone in here 6 years ago how much fun they were having, you probably could have seen the death behind their eyes when they answered you. Winning that World Series 2 years ago completely changed the perception of this organization.....not just to fans, but to other players, executives, and media as well.
Yeah, I know. Winning is obviously the ultimate goal, and everything else isn't going to make up for it. But I was just trying to emphasize what @Tfor3 was saying about how the whole organization, even the commentators, are really well designed to make for a fun experience watching the game. I remember ole Bill Brown. Poor Brownie. Only had like 3 statistics to work with and never did anything but spout them over and over for decades. Todd and Geoff and Julia are actually the rare broadcast team that ENHANCES the experience of watching a team. You can have a very good team that's still dry as melba toast to watch.
So I went to be when it was 5-4 last night, watched the first few innings and just couldn't make it. When should I go to bed tonight?
You CST pansies...drink your Red Bulls and eat some Little Debbies...you can make it! I miss TexMex and the friendly people in Houston...but PST is definitely where it's at!!!
They need to modify Altuve's 5-Hour Energy commercials. "Feeling tired after a long day of working to support yourself and/or your family? AND the Astros are playing on the West Coast. No worries. Eat dinner, fake interested talk with your kids and spouse while falling asleep, and then pop a 5-Hour Energy at 7:30 p.m. You got this."
Anyone notice we draft heavy in pitching but have few to no one to bring up, but we manage to have 6 OF in this game alone plus another on the IL and more in AAAA?
How much are we wasting Straw's speed at short...? Looking back, if we stuck Bregman at left, we would have been losing out on his reaction time...
