    He has a chart of who is and isn't available, and for how much, each game. The random fan will just look at the roster and think "oh, this guy should be in right now"....it's just not that simple

    Plus, we have no idea how conversations have gone between him and relievers on how they feel tonight and so forth....complex issue that most fans think is clear and simle

    Agreed. Flip the script though and if that dude gets out of that situation. Confidence goes up. I think the upside was worth it.
    Baseball is amazing. I also think Hinch was thinking "our offense can come back if only down by 1 or 2."

    Seattle is pretty weak defensively and I'm so excited to have Straw on the bench.

    I actually DVRed that Astros Bases Loaded where they show all that. Maybe some day I'll dig out all the equipment and software I need to get it off the DVR and on to the internet. ATTSW makes some quality programs on the Astros, but they suck balls at making them available.

    I know it sounds selfish but I love these west coast games. I'll probably feel different when I switch to working mornings but I love getting off work to catch the last 5 innings or so.
