This is exactly why the Astros might be the most dangerous team in the majors...and, if the hitting and pitching is on focus at the same time, there probably isn't a team out there that can beat them in an extended series. Just work on getting everyone healthy and making sure both sides are zoned in down the stretch.
I’ve been pretty doom and gloom lately, but winning a road series against the Mariners without Correa, Altuve, Verlander, and then Springer for basically 2 games is pretty, pretty sweet.
Some guys can transition from the rotation to the pen and their stuff ticks up and their arm can handle it, some guys cannot. Apparently McHugh can handle it.
Great to come in and snake this series given the circumstances. As important as the injured players are, we still have some quality MLB hitters in the lineup. We weren't gonna keep scoring 1 run per game, and the pitching is steady as always.
Dallas Keuchel coming back to form, Marwin Gonzalez starting to hit with Power, Marwin is Finally Swinging Faster, Hacking the Ball, instead of hitting weak ground balls. Scott Boras is Excited about his Clients for Today.
Keuchel just doesn't how to keep his damn mouth shut. He thinks he's some kind of savior because he whined last year at the deadline and supposedly convinced Verlander to accept the trade here - so now he's promoted himself to assistant GM.
Jake is very very popular with the older players and is seen as a guy that does his job well and mixes well with everyone. The players are not the only ones that really like Jake, Hinch thinks he is great too. That is why I think there is a real chance Jake makes the post season roster.
