Right but he was willing to pull him in the third and he only had given up 2 runs. Sometimes you just gotta let guys play through that. Ridiculous...
With the day off tomorrow, was easily the right move to pull him and do whatever is best to get the win today
He only got through 2 because Correa's throw to the plate stood as an out when it wasn't. Should have been 1.2 innings with 3 runs given up, 63 pitches, 4 walks, and a hit batter. He just didn't have any command
He was approaching 70 pitches in just 2 innings. He had no command at all. He was hitting guys on 0-2 counts. He "only" gave up 2 runs simply because they threw a guy out at the plate for what should have been a bases clearing double. He's the youngest player in the AL. He's going to have starts like this. The fact that he was pulled when he was is a big reason why the Astros are not just in the game, but in a position to win the game.
Dog him some more! I think part of it is he has never had such sporadic at bats I would rather he DH more and less Beltran....but I've never forgotten so.....
Would still use Giles here He has been scored on 9 times this year 6 of those 9 times he was on 3+ days rest If he don't pitch here then Tuesday will be 6 days and 1 inning
