    What did we expect, without lance or dallas do we really want them in the playoff

    Shoot, the team might be better without Lance and Keuchel in the playoffs. It's that kind of year for the starters. I hope they get in and can hit their way to a championship.

    It's pretty safe to say Fister isn't coming back after his pitching down the stretch.

    He's finally regressed after outpitching his abilities for so long. Solid 1st half of the season from him though.

    You get what you pay for more times than not.... that is the tale of Doug Fister. The Astros went shopping in the bargain bin for a starting pitcher and it shows.

    And if we miss the playoffs which is likely, it won't be by a great deal. One deal for a top starter likely would have gotten us there

    It's nothing new. Historically, his worst months are always August and September every year.

    Astros should have expected it was possibly and planned ahead. However with the injuries to Dallas and LMJ they simply don't have enough pitchers to plug into his spot.
