yep and not sending Giles to Triple A to work out the kinks at the start of the season makes a lotta sense too smh
Guess it's contagious. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Entering today, Doug Fister's 1.77 walks per nine innings ratio was best among active pitchers with 1,000 or more innings.</p>— Jake Kaplan (@jakemkaplan) <a href="https://twitter.com/jakemkaplan/status/724805208602202112">April 26, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
we're houston, the third major city. No way we should be trotting these names out there to pitch. we did try to land a big fish but we need to actually get it done. I guess we won't see lance til may.
I swear you said this last season [time and time again] and maybe the season before. More things change, more they stay the same?
RISP has been bad, but we'll start getting more hits soon. First reason being, it's impossible to hit as poorly for an entire season. Second, our players will grow with more experience. Gomez and Castro will either hit better or they won't be playing. Liked that Gomez RBI hit.. he went the other way. He barely missed a nice HR that went foul right before. Maybe he's heating up.
It's true though, we haven't knocked a pitcher out of the game all year. Must be more analytics. Swing for the fences on every pitch
2 reasons. that 8th inning against the royals and what could have been had we had a flame thrower, made getting a young closer top priority. and rightfully so, giles has just not been as advertised so far. secondly, lance was not supposed to be injured. I like what charlie p says mocking the astros' report. Lance isn't injured he just can't play because of a shoulder.
Let me tell you one name, OSUNA. VV and Feliz have the same or MORE talent than Osuna. We did not needed Giles, we could had used those 2 last year and/or this year.
Another name, Kela, same as before. We had the power arms but WE DID NOT USED THEM. Thats on Hinch and/or Luthnow.
