Vince Velasquez seems to have this tendency of getting ahead and then nibbling.

Marwin's plate discipline and awareness are terrible. Tired of watching him hit.

I didn't realize Valbuena was allowed to hit RBI singles.

The real joke is that the Mariners made him do all that work... and only got 1 run to show for it.

Hopefully VV can get through 5. That would be good for the pen.

Significantly less torturous inning to watch.

I wasn't watching on TV , just listening on the radio . The commentators were making it seem like the first two Seattle batters were just having good at bats vs Velasquez missing a bunch. Can anyone comment on that ? I definitely trust their opinions more than ashby.

He just kept pumping fastballs around the strike zone and they kept fouling them off. I wouldn't say they were particularly tough pitches. They manage to get the bat on his curve a lot as well.

To me this means that Velasquez needs to improve or just throw more change-ups in general . Maybe it's Castro's fault .

Domingo has a lot of (pre leadoff) Springer qualities in him. Decent plate discipline, a lot of swing in miss in the strike zone, big power.

The number of times we have hit into the shift and gotten beat by the shift this series has been astronomically high. The whole series has basically been an outlier.

Poor pitch framing doesn't get Vince the call.
