Today keeps getting better. Yankees were up one and Chapman blew another save by giving up a HR to Pete Alonzo. Then Chapman walked 2 guys in a row and was pulled. Mets now up 10-5 and the inning is still going.
I was going to post something about this if no one else had. Man, those guys (NYY) are struggling. Is there a place on the planet where there is more pressure to succeed than NYC? Gotta wonder what Cole thinks about these days.
Cole pitched today and struggled. He and Chapman seem to have a problem with no sticky goo. Cole today: 3.1 IP, 6H, 4ER, 3BB, 1HR
Dusty is going to rest all the starting position players at once and have Stubbs at DH batting clean up, and still pull out a W.
Even before his recent meltdowns, how in the holy heck did Chapman make the team? I know the cynical answer.
