Yankees had a 9 game lead on the Astros on June 18th. Those 5 games in June against the Astros really shook the Yankees. It started their poor play.
Hope so. Because I feel like both Urquidy and Javier have surpassed him in recent months. He's young, so hopefully he turns it around soon. Otherwise he's probably not pitching in the 1st round.
Astros were down 4-0 in the 6th inning. One of the best hitters in the game should not have a goal of moving the runner over in that situation. He needs to do what he did best and if he sees a hittable pitch, he should swing. And, that pitch was a good pitch to swing at.
Take 3 of 4 that was the goal the entire time. It's right there in front of us. Cardinals, get the brooms out against those 21-22 middling Yankees since June 19.
Yankees 14-17 since July 4.06 ERA 5 blown saves Clay Holmes is a farce. That's a huge problem moving forward.
Impossible, I was told that guys like Clay Holmes are the type of dominant closer the Astros wished they had instead of Pressly.
It’s not like the bottom four can’t produce - it’s just there is an incredibly high likelihood that someone in that group is going to be a rally killer. Idk - prove us wrong
And if @King1 was manager am I to assume the Astros 5/6 best players would play 162 games a season, the best relievers 100 IP and best starters 250 IP...and they lose in the ALDS because they're worn out.
Yuli is on the bench today, are you upset about that? Altuve gets a rest day, is that not allowed? Mancini is in the lineup along with perhaps the best hitting catcher in MLB for over a month. They are not ready for Tucker to start so he's not an option. What is so terrible about this lineup?
He does that coming off the mound all the time. This wasn't even when they won - it was the 8th inning. It had nothing to do with the Astros or with winning a game.
