I remember earlier in the year when the Stros would be down 2,3,4 runs I would always say "they got this" and they'd usually come back
They where just much better earlier in the year ! What I can say about this road trip is that the pitching has been great and they've been in every game many could have gone either way
Vin Scully still wins this for me... and considering how old he is, and how "good" he still is, its really not close.
Agree, Vince number 1 but i enjoyed Harry with Stone, they were fun. Also, Jim Deshaies was awesome. McCarver was good.
Since his "injection" procedure... he's gotten largely positive results, had the best stuff in the bullpen.
Limiting this strictly to PBP guys... and Harry Carry was AWFUL during the Steve Stone years (which would have been his last years). JD is good as an analyst... McCarver is awful as an analyst (only slightly better than Ashby at saying a bunch of crap that seems really "smart" but really makes zero analytical or practical sense).
Harry was funny during those years though..entertainment value was there. McCarver vs. Ashby...that would be an interesting debate. Which one would be tougher to take for a whole season? For me, it might actually be McCarver..
