Lee reaches waaaaay out of the zone and hits into a DP. We make it too easy on pitchers too often. We are already a groundball hitting team. Swinging at bad pitches is a recipe for disaster.

The thing that frustrates me with Lee at times is that unlike Tejada, he has a very good eye. He should be taking more pitches and walking more.

I thought for sure that was going to be a bunt hit for Renteria. Nice play Pudge.

Roy had to work relatively hard that inning. 12 pitches.

Good day for Michaels. A HR, a walk and a couple of well hit balls.

Was Roy just swinging for the fences there? Heck of a cut.

Roy looked pretty clearly safe at 2nd. He's doing it all today, eh?

So could that be a record by Oswalt? Two consecutive starts with the same amount of hits as hits given up?

    Agree. Bad call.

It's great to see Roy pitching like this again.

The hitting is a nice plus. :)

Dang, I hope I didn't jinx anything. I was hoping for a complete game shutout, but still a fine performance.

Last start he gave up 2 hits and had 2 hits himself.

Today he has given up 1 hit and has a hit himself.

Two consecutive starts with equal hits?

You didn't. Don't be silly. If anything, Roy is probably a little tired after all the offense he was contributing in the top of the inning.

    You jinxed him into a 94 pitch, 3-hitter over 8 innings. :D

+16 for the three game series. Pythagorean implies we should be 0-3. The 1-2 makes Cooper look the genius.

Good win for the good guys today.

Don't know about that. To me it just looks like we got blown out 2 out of the 3 games without saying much about Cooper.
