I don't think they are in any kind of slump. They've simply lost 2 games - it happens to everyone. They are 2-2 in their last 4, 3-3 in their last 6, 4-4 in their last 8, 6-4 in their last 10, and 6-6 in their last 12. They seem to be pretty much as steady as it goes. Keep in mind also that they historically just simply suck in San Francisco. No idea why, but they've always sucked there in that new part, even when they are otherwise awesome. I wouldn't read too much into these last two games.
my son and i were joking the other day about..if you were the astros...what would you trade to get him. we ultimately decided we'd just bring up the entire round rock squad at every position on the roster, after we traded everyone on the major league roster for him. in true brainwashed fashion, my kid said: "except biggio...if he were still on the team, i wouldn't trade him, no matter what."
I hear you there. 2 losses are 2 losses, even though the scores this series have been astronomically lopsided. It also helps that no one's really made a serious move to pull away in the Central. 3 teams are 5-5 in their last 10, we're 6-4 along with the Reds, and the Cardinals are 4-6.
Michaels can do that. He's been awful this season but he has pretty solid numbers for a guy that has mostly played as a reserve.
I had a feeling Johnson would make a bad throw the way he reacted to the ball off the bat. He looked kind of lifeless.
All these solo homers. I was really hoping Lance would yank one out of the park when we had 2 outs last inning. It is really nice to see the Astros go out get Roy a lead.
it must be the red hats. Tejada had an error in the red hats when they played in Cincinnati on Memorial Day
