sorry, i thought first was open.

still debatable anyway, since one run is winning this game.

Walking Lincecum was ridiculous, too. I don't think he even swung at a pitch in that AB. I know Lincecum is a decent hitter for a pitcher but you can't walk him.

If Lincecum has a quick 6th, my guess is the final score will be 1 or 2-0 with Lincecum getting the CG SO and scoring the winning run.

Edit: Nevermind. I forgot the inning was still going. 2-0 now.

I'd say we have a chance to get Lincecum out of the game but I don't think they'll hesitate to let him pitch 120-125 if the game is close. With the patience of our hitters not named Lance Berkman, he may not even need 120.

I hope this kid gets the chance to pitch in the postseason during his prime. He is something else.

what's amazing is, he's the probably the best choice right now to win the cy young again.

i don't remember if there was ever a player who won the cy young in his first two full seasons.

Haren has been unbelievable, too. He has a WHIP well below 1.00 and the best ERA in the league. Lincecum is fast approaching a 1.00 WHIP himself and has the second best ERA. He obvioiusly has the win-loss well in his favor. He's clearly the favorite because they look at W-L but Haren has actually pitched better so far this season as hard as that is to believe.

Lincecum is the king though, regardless. He's the best in the game right now, bar none, in my opinion.

    Ortiz walked Lincecum TWICE!!

I watched Lincecum's last outing and he swings the bat surprisingly well and has a bit of plate discipline but that is just awful, Mr. Ortiz.

nobody makes sure they pay for their own mistakes quite like the stros!

gonna be a sweep, folks. the ever-so-predictable water-treading stros.

yeah, haren has been an absolute beast and his win loss record is skewed because the dbacks have blown a few games for him.

but overall timmy would still probably win the cy.

Well, there goes Ortiz' quality outing. 3 huge blunders is more than enough to hand a game to Lincecum.

Walk Lincecum twice and throw a wild pitch with a man on 3rd. Ballgame.

Cuz that's one of Russ' weaknesses. He can't find the plate at times even when he tries.

Ortiz walks lincecum to load the bases on 4 straight pitches and coop leaves him in the game? Cooper is an idiot.

Like I said, Timmy is the best but if you ask me who has pitched best so far this season, the answer would be Dan Haren. If the season ended today, Timmy would win it because they factor in W-L but in almost every other statistical category, the only pitcher that has been better is Haren.

If I voted today for the NL Cy, I'd pick Haren because W-L is irrelevant to me. If you asked me who the best pitcher is or who I think will have the better numbers after 162 games, I'd say Lincecum to both.

i don't understand how scoring 6+ runs with none on and 2 outs is possible.
