I've noticed that Danny Klassen has been playing shortstop in Round Rock the last couple of games after playing 3rd base to start the season. Could that be a sign of things to come? Klassen can hit so I think he could be good replacement for Everett. Klassen missed all of last season because of a injury but the year before he hit .319 with 15 homers in 342 AB's. This year he it hitting .316 with 3 homers. He couldn't help this team any less than Everett is right now.
The Giants are LOADED with starting pitching... Lincecum, Zito, Lowry, and Caine. And Matty Mo is a serviceable #5 guy. If they score anything for these guys, they have a great shot at winning that tough division.
Wow, who would have expected a pitching duel between Oswalt and Lincecum? 18 up, 18 down collectively through 3.
His delivery worries me... if Dusty Baker was still there, I'd be downright fearful of his future. He is only 22... how they handle him this year will go a long way towards his potential for future arm trouble. Hell, had Roy not had his groin problems, he may have suffered some arm trouble earlier on with all the innings he was piling up (and the way he was pitching)... but alas, he got some rest, they tweaked how he approaches hitters (less speed, more movement, less pitches), and Roy's looking more sturdy.
Man, at this point last year Lance was batting .303 with 14 homers, and 43 RBI's. At least he's still getting on base at a high rate (.415 OBP) because he's drawn 39 walks. That's 2nd only to Bonds.
It feels like we've played the Giants 25 times already... they're just full of guys who dominate the Astros (Winn, Klesko, Durham, Feliz, Lowry, now Lincecum). Ironically, Bonds scares me the least.
