That true but what other option is there. Astros minor league system is horrible and only other option could be is putting Loretta at first and Berkman is right but Garner doesn't seem to put Berkman in the OF.
I'm just saying that Scott isn't head and shoulders above Lane, or anybody else at this point. I've always maintained that the success of this offense was predicated of at least one the two question marks (Ensberg or Scott) having an above average season. Since that isn't looking too likely right now, the club may have to explore trade options with Ensberg/Burke/Lidge as the bait. Either that, or Scott simply has to play better.
Interesting, because the 2 starts prior to Lowry's last against the Stros, the Phils and Rockies gave Ryan Howard & Todd Helton the day off. LHB are 6-41 against him this year.
Well, so far this game you've seen Loretta get pitched around in front of Berkman, and Loretta swinging 3-0, both with RISP. That says a lot about Lance right now.
Lance is pretty much a singles hitter when he bats right-handed... and he still draws walks. Nothing more, nothing less.
It boggles my freakin mind why Garner continues to let Ausmus bat in these situations. They get two guys on and then the next two batters foul out. It just makes me so mad!!!!!
You just knew it. When Lance came up to bat with the bases loaded, I thought to myself. Man, I wish Lee was batting. (sad sad day when I don't trust Lance at the plate) Ofcourse, Lee gets that bloop double that would have emptied the bases (perhaps...if not 2 runs). Now another lead off double for the Giants. I bet he scores. They can move their players over. It's all Lee right now.
