The nature of this injury is more than a little alarming.

    Just hope for the best.

With Peacock, McHugh, Pressley, Sipp, Smith, and Rondon. I think they will be fine.

    The game must go on.

Let any swelling subside and then tomorrow or Monday an orthopaedist can look at it.

Peacock can join the rotation or there are several options in AAA.

Way to leave out "you know who".

but, given how Luhnow has shored up the bullpen... pushing Harris/Devenski to the 7th inning, and Pressley to the 6th... Peacock/McHugh are going to get even more inconsistent work as relievers.

With an opening in the rotation with the LMJ injury, perfect time to stretch both out and have them alternate to stay sharp.

Agreed. Peacock could definitely use the work to get himself right before the postseason.

    LOL
Freudian slip. I liked Rondon as the closer myself so I think the bullpen was solid with the Pressley deal. Osuna just makes it even more lock down.

I honestly don't think they should screw with McHugh.

With all of the days off, there is plenty of ways to dance around not having a reliable 5th starter, and we won't use one in the postseason either.

Right now, McHugh is ahead of Harris and Devo in the bullpen pecking order. He needs to stay in his late inning role. Peacock however can benefit from getting more consistent work, since he’s basically been relegated to mop up duty.

It would be nice if Martin could get a hit right now.

I think you put Brad into the rotation even with the days off. No need in pushing the others even harder

He's certainly gonna slide into the 5th spot, but if he has some short outings our bullpen should be able to cover it without over working them.

Dave Roberts intentionally walks two batters last inning, one of which scored. Intentional walks are so stupid. Plus it turns the lineup over giving Springer, Bregs and Yuli more ABs. Idiot manager. Lol
