weaver with a caballo-like baserunning effort there.

is he just a long-reliever/spot starter for them now? i forgot he was even on their team.

I remember when Weaver helped the Cards to the title in 06...Duncan had revived his career and instead of staying in a successful spot he took the money...BAD MOVE as he is nothing but a long reliever now!

    This is a statement.

Astros are playing like a team that believes. Nice to have a leader like Pudge on this team.

am i the one who is not-so-psyched about Doug Brocail coming back?

i think he's long past damaged goods, but even if he isn't, we just don't need him coming in and screwing with the make up of the current bullpen. they are pitching great right now, and i'm guessing cooper is going to force Brocail into the mix. unnecessary, and i don't see who he would displace.

Oh ya, I'm in such a rush to move to a bankrupt state.

btw....Astros are up 8-1....and have held the Dodgers to 1 run in over 16 innings. :D

That's 4 games now where I haven't posted during games and the Astros won. The only run given up during that stretch came on a ball Hunter lost in the lights. Meaningless but weird...

Many roster moves happening. Sampson to DL, Boone will rejoin the team next week(rehab) with hope of playing in September, Brocail should be on his way back as you mentioned, Chad Paronto just called up.

And then a nicked up Berkman and Lee got hurt, maybe not hurt, but was taken out tonight for precautionary reasons(left knee contusion A. Footer is reporting).

Great game and fireworks display at Dodger Stadium. Complete Game for Roy O!

I got accosted again for wearing my Houston gear. this time it wasn't an angry drunkard at Yankee Stadium.

Only a bunch of kids from the Boys & Girls Club. as they shouted "Houston Sucks" when they saw my shirt, I went ahead and gave them a scoreboard update as we were all entering the stadium in the 2nd inning...

"The team that sucks is winning 6-0"

they laughed it off and accused me of lying...

as they continued to disrespect a complete stranger, I was looking to their Staff members to see if anyone would tell the kids to cut it out...

the Yankee Stadium incident was followed by a SIX PITCHER NO HITTER (Roy O included)

Tonight's installment included complete domination by Roy O and some amazing at bats early...
