Basically they said that Clemens told KILT that his family was warming to the idea of him returning for another year, but that he hadn't quite gotten the itch to return. Apparently the Astros have given him two dates in June as potential return dates. Hey look, Gallo's in the game. Hey look, Gallo gave up a hit. Hey look, Gallo's out of the game after giving up said hit. What was the point Garner?
WHAT IS DUMBASS GARNERS OBSESSION WITH GALLO IT IS SO ****ING MANIACAL AND BRAINLESS. we feel eachothers pain nick. part of me wants to see this run score to burn garner.
Hahaha... as bad as Lofton has killed us this year, and today (thanks a lot Repko), he really cost his team HUGE on that play. Everett's so good that even when he doesn't make the catch, he's able to get an out.
I'd say odds are about even money that Garner brings Gallo onto the allstar team because he feels the team needs a "lefty specialist".
Hmm... that's kinda the same thing he said before 2004. He needed to get the "itch", and Pettite constantly badgering him to work out helped provide that. Maybe Andy just has to call him up and say "Look at me... I'm awful... even if you don't pitch well, just being in the clubhouse will help me get focused again."
****!! What the hell was Lane waiting for to make that throw? Gave him just enough time with that double pump. This is pissing me off now.
Brad has been terrible throwing this season. We are getting run all over. If you can't make a good throw on a pitchout, when are you going to?
At this point, I'd blame Pupurra for not finding a better option off waivers, or in the minors. I know he signed Trever Miller to be that guy, but that plan went out the window when he got hurt. If he's on the roster, Garner has to still pitch him somewhere (although I'd prefer less close games, and scrap the idea that he gets lefties out). Its funny... going into the season last year, the pen was considered extremely shaky, and it turned out to be one of our biggest strengths... this year, the pen was our biggest strength, and its become our biggest weakness. Even though I said that its still early in the season to let individual wins/losses sway the influence of how good/bad this team is... a team meeting may be in order soon to assess the overall mental status of the club. Nothing's working now... clutch hitting is gone, defense is spotty, starters getting whacked, bullpen blowing games.... just a bad stretch.
Is it possible to have a night when the bullpen doesnt suck? The starting rotation has to be dominant for us to win, and that definitely isnt happening lately. Somebody better step up.
One more time: Do any of you know when Garner does radio? If somebody can tell me, I promise I will call and question him about gallo.
