A lot of ifs, but quesion about game 163 ... Assuming the Yankees lose and we win

    1) Rangers win, we play Yanks at home on Tuesday

    2) Angels win, we play Rangers in 163 for division on Monday. If we lose this game, does it mean we now play in NYC for the WC game on Tuesday since our regular season record will be 1/2 game behind the Yanks after the loss to the Rangers since it is considered a regular season game?

No the Monday game is irrelevant to where the WC would be played. The 162 game record is what matters.

I'm loving how congenial the dugout is and how loose everyone seems. The Astros players genuinely appear to like one another and it looks like they've created quite a bond which will only help them going forward. The home run celebrations, the Conger-bot, club astros etc are all great for morale. Wasn't Rasmus supposedly a club house cancer everywhere he went? He's having the time of his life. Gomez seems widely accepted despite his 'antics' and Springer & Marisinick seem to generate a lot of fun out of the dugout and Gattis is hugging everyone non-stop and screaming at the top of his lungs chugging beer (at least I imagine him doing that). It reminds me of my fraternity :)

I mean look at what the dysfunction in the club house reaped for the Nationals... just reading how there is a lot of discord there.

Guess we can hope that camaraderie extends far into the playoffs!

yeah kinda like watching how "The Bad News Bears" of baseball over the past years have transformed 2 years ahead of schedule...and now they got that "Animal House" swagger going on at the moment per your description at the moment. Got the mental "September Gorilla" off their backs having experienced it for the very first time.

Angels have to win tomorrow or their season is over. Rangers are fked if they lose tomorrow + Astros win cuz then they'll have to play a tiebreaker for the division. If Yankees lose tomorrow, home field for Wild Card is up for grabs.

Tomorrow is gonna be insane, but I hope the good guys can come through.

Pretty good lefty going today, I'm sure we start Rasmus, but who else. Valbuena, Tucker, and Castro have all struggled mightily against lefties.

    Decisions, decisions.

    Awesome win last night!

Love that McHugh had a great outing.

Also VERY impressed with the road trip we're having (won 4 of 5) thus far with our backs to the wall.

Let's take care of own business again today!!!!
