Matsui golfs a ball down the 1st base line. Watch out, Adam Everett!

Carlos Lee just ran as hard as he has all season and made a pretty impressive catch. My guess is that's the last time we'll see him run that hard. He's sucking wind. It's a strange sight, folks.

Bazardo and Lopez have collectively given up 12 runs on 15 hits and 5 walks through 5 and a third. Ouch.

Make that 16 hits, the most recent a HR to a guy having his first major league AB.

Oh I wish how we had a decent coaching staff. Well I wish he had a lot of things.

You really do have to wonder. I saw Dewey laughing it up in the dugout when it was 2-0, Astros. I wonder how he looks right now.

JD: "It's Sammy Gervacio's turn to see if he can stick his finger in the dike."

    Funny.

Speak of the devil. Another meaningless Pence HR.

Makes sense though. Pitchers are aggressive with big leads. Well, they're supposed to be.

    No GIDPs!

What a SP with an ERA under 4 would have meant to this team.

Who the heck is Lopez? I turned on the game and it was 10-4 D-backs, so I quickly changed the channel. Lopez? Was he even in our farm system? Part of the Pudge trade? The Astros might be not very good this year, but next year they might be TERRIBLE. I hope they do some major revamping and sign a big-time free agent starting pitcher or two. What do you think happens to Tejada next year? What team will sign him to a contract? And who else will be gone?

Lopez was called up from AA when Arias went on the DL. Lopez had a 4.73ERA in AA at 26, but had been on fire so recently.

For a guy that primarily throws 2 pitches, Norris' lack of command is pretty concerning.

He really needs to make that changeup a useful pitch or improve his command or do both if he wants to be a successful starting pitcher.

As I say that, he airmails a pitch about 10 feet to the right of Coste and a run scores.

He's already hit a batter and walked another.

Even in his stellar first 2 outings, there were clear signs of what we're seeing from Norris now.

These issues also match some of the scouting reports from the minors.

Got off work just to watch the game.

    :)

Working tomorow instead of Monday so I can sit on my couch and watch the game in the living room.

    Finally, some HD Texans Football.
