Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 4-28 Chris Sampson, RHP (1-2, 6.38) vs. Dan Haren, RHP (3-1, 3.03) 8:40 on FSN 4-29 Jack Cassel, RHP (1-0, 5.40) vs. Edgar Gonzalez, RHP (1-1, 4.66) 8:40 on FSN 4-30 Shawn Chacon, RHP (0-0, 2.45) vs. Randy Johnson, LHP (1-1, 2.70) 2:40 on FSN
Harens one hell of a player, dbacks are the best team in the league right now... WITH SO MUCH YOUNG STARS
Definately. And might want to bold young. I hate to say it but they look damn good, at least it's not the Mets though. Pitching staff is thick and the batting order is dangerous. Let's hope we bring our A-Game this series.
Hopefully Sampson can keep up the reverse-Wandy hex: 1-0 with 2.63 ERA on the road, 0-2 with 17.36 ERA at home this year. With the Backs amazing pitching, we're going to have to play some small ball at some point to win. Looking for our offense to bang out 9,10,11 hit games against them isn't going to happen. The key will be the top 2 in the lineup cause the Big 3 aren't good at starting rallies themselves. Tejada, Berkman and Lee are .265 with no one on but a whopping .359 with guys on the sacks.
His slow shot-put throwing motion ruined his shoulder. One of the smartest moves the Astros ever made (not giving him a big contract, or offering arbitration).
Bourn really sucks so far. I don't understand how you can still live him on the top part of the lineup. His defense is great but he should be hitting 8th if you leave him in the lineup.
