Sorry but they would go with something like that except that Lance probably needs to play first unless we want him out for another 5 days with a groin injury

I dont hate Ensberg i just think that there would be a better line up without him.

Berkman is not going to see the OF again this year... that groin is too tender to risk it (although you would think a 1B does his fair share of groin stretches when he plays the position... it must be the type of strain that can only be worsened by runnning).

tough loss, but we did win the series, which is the important thing, and we didn't lose any ground on CIN. We should be able to all 3 series on the homestand PIT SD and CHC.

I'll take Wilson over Ensberg...You can put Huff back at 3rd and play Scott in Right...Then move Scott up in the batting lineup...Ensberg has shown some signs of coming around again but we don't have time to wait on him, get him out of there........

He chokes in big situations. Fact. I like the guy...I just don't want him batting in a pressure situation, because he usually chokes. He reminds me of Bags...a good (not as good as Bags) player that is great until having to bat in the ninth.

Should is the keyword but we have had trouble with Pitt especially at home and Chicago will not roll over...I would have liked to have gone home 3 back of the WC but I can't argue with a 4-2 road trip... :p

Biggio and Palmerio also had horrible at bats swinging at pitches in the dirt and way out of the strike zone in the 9th. Julio had no control and thats why hitters like Berkman and Huff who are good discipline hitters were able to get hits. They recognized that Julio only threw a fastball for strikes..Oh Hell we lost...Lets move on........

Yeah, it's not like he's been hitting since he came back. I mean, his average since his return before today's game was only .350

Anyone know why Palmeiro is always one of our first pinch hitters? Is it becuse he sucks and never gets a hit or because garner is dating him?

Get off Mo's nuts. He didn't do crap wrong. There is no one to blame for this loss. We put it out there and they took it. Although we need every W from here on out, at least we won both series in this last stretch. I think that is very good.

Lamb was the first pinch hitter today. Munson was used as a catcher in the 9th since Lamb PH for Ausmus in the 8th (Garner may have made a mistake by leaving Pettite in for the 9th... essentially wasted Munson by not double-switching).

After that, who are you going to bat? The only person left on the bench (besides Biggio) was Wilson. Wilson vs. Palmeiro against right-handed pitching... I'll still take Palmeiro.

Folks speaking off the cuff and not looking at it logically. I am guilty of posting with emotion too, as I am sure all is well aware of. :)

I would rather let everett hit over palmeiro (or dare i even say lane!!). Then again Biggio is a waste when there is a pitcher with a good slider. I just don't think palmeiro is worth a crap. I wish we still had orlando merced. That guy was clutch!!
