Am I missing something? Everything I see shows Webb pitching tommorrow, but people on here are saying there is no Webb tomorrow? Edit: Nevermind .. I just foundt he espn story saying he may miss the start due to a sore elbow. Nice break for us. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2538397
WWW, with these three pitchers and our bats waking up, this should be a piece of cake. Of course, we will all be able to go out after this late game because with Roy O in the mound, it will be a quick game.
I want to say sweep, but, as we all know, the Stros are a very inconsistent team. The optimist in me says WWW, but the pessimist in me says WLL. They normally don't score runs for Clemens, and even if they do, we saw what the bullpen does with a good outing from Clemens. Pettite looks like he might finally be returning to form, but I don't want to speak too soon. This team has stepped up in clutch situations the past two years. So why not start now. Go Stros!
Ok, then what happens before someone clears waivers? Anybody can claim them? Why didn't the Sox claim Lopez off waivers and give up nothing instead of waiting for him to clear and then trading for him? If Andruw Jones was in the waiver process and the Astros wanted him, why didn't they claim him before he cleared?
after the player is claimed, then the team that has him can pull him off waivers and he cannot be traded the rest of the season. So claiming him doesn't mean you get him for nothing especially for a good player like Lopez.
BIGGIO!!!!! HE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! BGO has hit 3 HR's in 3 straight at bats!!! He almsot had 4 in a row!
Could somebody tell me what Willy has done to deserve all the renewed playing time since he came back? Garner has such a man-crush on him, its scary... you'd think he'd like Burke more (who's a semi-clone of what Garner was like in his playing days). I don't mind Willy that much... its just that I can't stand him in the leadoff spot. He's got a OBP that has been TERRIBLE, by any standards, over the last two years. Frankly, I think Roy Oswalt could equal that OBP with a full season of batting... its horrnedous.
