Didn't it actually hit a speaker and have to be ruled a home run?

Just got home from a night of getting trashed.

But I'm not drunk enough to NOT find this quote from Garner, disgusting, concerning Clemens' performance tonight:

Hey, GREAT win. Just don't take us for fools.

    Try LAST Sunday, Garner.

Keep it up, 'Stros ... Despite Garner.

Wags was good so long as Mike "pizzahole" Piazza was not at the plate otherwise, he would take a 102 MPH fastball and move about 450 FT.

Hey, all I can say is 'its a start!' Not much more than that but its a start. With a sweep today, the 'Stros will have a 5-1 road trip. When was the last time we did that? Better yet, when was the last time we had a winning road trip period!

Kudos for bringing up Luuuukke Scott. He has been 'nails' since his recall. I think he's playing with something to prove and thats good news because this team has not played with a kind of competitive mean streak since late April.

Sure, there have been some good games but mostly BAD ones since. Maybe, possibly this IS the turning point in the season for the 'Stros.

One thing for certain, the margin for error is razor-thin now. They just got to find a way to win. Just win baby! Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know if it has been posted yet, but I just read that Biggio is at 2,900 hits.

100 more hits, and he can retire, (thank goodness) and head to cooperstown.

Biggio will finish off the year with another 55 hits, putting him 45 away from 3000. Bagwell will sign a 1 year deal for .0000001 million, sit on the bench every game, and carry Biggio's bags.

He'll reach 3000 in mid June next year, make the All Star game as a backup, and then ride off into the sunset as he and Burke spend the next 3 months splitting time. And finally after the Astros have outscored the Yankees 8-1 in 8 innings of game 6 of the WS, Biggio will come in off the bench and get a pinch hit double. Bagwell will pinch hit as well, hitting a dribbler between SS and 3rd, Bagwell driving biggio in for the last time ever.

Then they'll both retire as they hold up the WS trophy, with Luke Scott getting the WS MVP with a 5 HR, 13 RBI performance in 6 games.

...I really need to get some ****ing sleep.

Last Sunday, Clemens pitched 7 innings. When he threw his last pitch, it was only 3-1.

I'd say that Garner's quote was accurate.

If Atlanta can hold on to their two run lead for one more inning, then we could gain a game on Cincy with a win today. Either way, we need to get the job done. A sweep would make this a great Sunday.

You know the cool thing about the Reds and Astros...our records are identically opposite; so it's so much easier (to keep track) and looks so much more dramatic when we win and they lose.

    Cincy 57-53 a loss today 57-54
    Astros 53-57 a win today 54-57

Maybe it's just me...but it looks like we pick up a few games when we win, even though we don't.
