Sammy Sosa has yet to hit a fair ball, in eight at-bats since returning.

Is that what happened? I am using Gameday right now, i fidured it was a popout or something that ended the inning. Gameday stopped working for a sec and so i had to reopen it.

Runner at 2nd, and they are intentionally walking Patterson to face Sosa. WOW. I bet you this might be the only time in Sammy's career that this will happen.

    Lidge with the HUGE K!!!!

Jimi looks like a genius right about now.

Game of the Year so far. Without a doubt.

16 Ks by the staff after 14 yesterday. Sosa with 9 of those.

Sammy Sosa looks terrible at the plate, his last couple of at-bats - he's just been blown away by fastballs.

    What a game going.

Kent has had some hard luck...probably 3 potential HRs taken away by the wind.

Lidge was lucky that the wind was blowing in on that Gonzalez shot, but he, just like ROY, WaMi, and Dotel, owned Sosa.

They're going to stretch Lidge to 3 innings now? Hope this works.

Edit: Lidge showed some clutch pitching. What was that, 3 innings 6 Ks? Wow.

Stone and Wagner are probably the top 2 guys in our pen left. Good thing we got that complete game last night.

Wellmeyer is the Cubs last relief pitcher that is left.

We still have Bland, Stone and Saarloos.

    No, it's the 16th inning....now. :)

Jimmy D is right- it does feel like a game in which no one is ever going to score. Think about it- for a 16 inning game, 4 hours isn't all that long.

It's a freaking war of attrition....It'll be nice to see a scrub pitcher get the game winning rbi.

Cubs win. What a heart breaker.

Fielding error by Hunter costs us.

If only our infield was a little further back, that would have been a double play. :(

Man that sucks, I was wondering why Kent was that close when he could have turned the double play in that situation.

Jeez, we are going to have to get a quality start from Robertson tommorow, our bullpen is worn out.

Well that was no doubt the worst game in Kent's career.

    Ofer.

    0-7.

He must feel terrible knowing he couldn't get the ball on the last play.

I'm caling a homer or two tomorrow.

I'm sure Kent has had worse. Like Nike mentioned, he hit the ball very well today...but it was always in the wrong places.

How cold* must it be in Chicago right now?

I'm watching it at my cousin's house and saying damn, its the 500th inning and it's 0-0.

Then I see them with gloves, and mitts, and all that crap. I'm thinking to myself, holy ****, it's June already, and they're sporting mitts, and parkas.

I am damn glad I live in Houston.
