McLane is dumb if he doesn't trade NOW to get prospects, this is the year, look at the Padres traded Peavy last year for prospects and their in first this year, I say trade Berkman, Lee(I don't care if we have to pay more than half of his salary, just means more prospects), and even Bourn
Shows you why this team is nothing but GAR-B*TCH!! It was 7-1 in the 5th and the Ass-tros just got their behinds handed to them. Drayton, TRADE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well those were just a few players, I don't want Oswalt too leave but like I said he wants out and the astros need young players & Pence is still young, plus I also read somewhere everyone but Pence was available, so that's why I didn't mention him
I love Bourn but he's approaching 28 and his best tool is his speed. I think I read somewhere that players in that mold generally tail off pretty quickly after 30 (read it somewhere on TCB recently... I'll see if I can find the article). I don't think he'll be traded anytime soon but I wouldn't necessarily make him untouchable.
Yes, we aren't winning anything for another few years and if we wait too long like Berkman and Oswalt, his value will go down....but that's just me, I want the 'Stros to be first not the LAstros and am sure a speedster can bring some good prospects
Ed Price tweets: [rquoter] More re: Oswalt & #Phillies -- source wouldn't say it's down to "finishing touches." But sounds like talks going on. # # Source: #Astros "may be close to putting the ball in [Oswalt's] court" re: #Phillies trade. Oswalt has full no-trade clause. [/rquoter]
wow. also, the front page of espn says "Phillies hint major deal in the works"...he's the only one who would qualify as "major" of the listed pitchers in the article.
From an insider.... @613inmiami: inside scoop from @dskol123 Sources:hearing this 3 way trade TB getting Werth; Phillies getting Oswalt & Houston getting JA Happ and more...
Nice mis-play by Carlos in LF to let the pitcher score from first base with two outs. I'm sure Myers wants to kill him right about now.
And has gone 6 innings for the 20th consecutive time as an Astro. He's been nothing short of awesome.
Apparently, CJ has hit 2 balls today that would have likely been homers if not for the wind blowing in at Wrigley.
