    Well, that pitch seemed worse than the one that got Hawk ejected.

    Wrigley Field + P.O.'d ump = a bad combination

    I was thinking the same thing. The strike zone seemed to expand between the bottom of the 8th and the top of the 9th.

    Judging by that Bradley at-bat, it was only a temporary expansion :rolleyes:

    I'd venture to guess that Valverde is an average to below average pitcher in these types of situations (non-save, tie game, runners on base).

    Mixed bag on that one...Soriano gone is good but now almost assured to see Lee up with a chance to win it!

    Valverde is seemingly pitching worse the more pressureized the situation.

    I would shudder to see this guy in the playoffs.

    I'd love to see these pitches. Gameday showed two of those called balls as being in the strike zone.
