What is Cecil suppoosed to do, he had a 13 inning game, his starter went out in the second inning of the second game, he had another starter go only four or five yesterday, how many are hurt in the bullpen. he's got to leave those guys in there no matter how bad it is. but you know that already, but you still b****ed that he had this sorry ass pitching staff above five hundred through half of the season.

lay off the guy, its ridiculous.

Im not sure. Maybe expecting a different result? Who knows. Can I ask, why do we keep trotting these guys(Hampton,Ortiz) out there? It blows my mind. You have 2 guys waiting in the wings to replace those 2. Bazardo and Norris. Same could be said about Matsui. Why keep trotting him out there? You have a viable option in Keppinger.

    Cubs just got better!

JonHeyman gorzelanny would go with grabow to cubs. anyone left on #pirates?

Why cant we make this move? I know niether are great but better then Brocail, Ortiz and Hampton cause you cant be worse can you?!

I think you could easily swing a deal for Valverde. Many teams are looking for bullpen help. But then again, yes like you said, you have to take his salary into account. Tejada isnt so easy to move, I agree. But I ask in the end(offseason), do you offer these guys arbitration so you get your draft picks? If you do, you have the risk of them accepting it and having to bring them back. (On a sidenote, do you still get a draft pick if you dont offer arbitration and they sign with another team?)

you don't get a draftpick if you don't offer them arbitration. there is no way drayton offers valverde arbitration. chances are high that he would accept it, and he'd be a waste of money. trading him is a no-brainer.

Q walked twice in one game.

That may be a first and a last.

They got rid of their whole infield except 3B. And also some of the OF. LaRoche gone from 1B, Sanchez from 2B, Wilson from SS, Morgan from CF, McLouth from CF, Sean Burnett from P, Eric Hinske from RF, Ian Snell from P, Tom Gorzelanny from P, and John Grabow from P.

    Agreed!

I think Coop has made some moves this year that open him up to some deserved scrutinty, but handling the pitchers the last few days isn't among them.
