I think Coop has a strict 9 run rule when relieving a starter in the early innings.

Well Ortiz better not complain about being pulled early this time.

Ortiz/Hampton are like 6th starters at best on a team. We shoulda kept Randy Wolf. I'd rather have Fernando Nieve pitching for us. Maybe even Zeke Astacio.

Ortiz has officially become the worst of the our 3 sad sacks. Moehler is looking the best, and I was calling for him to be released earlier in the season. Time to DFA Ortiz. This is too many bad starts. It looks like it was just early season luck for him.

We weren't spending the money. We initially offered him a deal, and wanted him back.

Just got home from class. To see 9 runs given up again....

    UGH.

Soriano and the Cubs are massacring us.

    Wolf: $5 Million
    Ortiz: $750 Thousand

Is anybody surprised the Astros chose to chance it with the cheaper option?

At least Ortiz is only making $750K. Hampton and Moeher aren't much better and they're making $2 Million and $2.3 Million respectively.

Ortiz and Hampton need to go asap.

Bud Norris takes one of their spots and I don't care how we fill the other. Bring up another kid or trade for a decent pitcher. LIke therealist mentioned, we should have resigned Randy Wolf. God forbid we have a starting pitcher outside of Roy and Wandy that has an ERA under 4
