That sucks... there's a big article on astros.com about how he is ready to step-up and impress now that his wife gave birth. Man, you get a baby one day... and demoted the next.
Thats what made me think it would be Kata. It really makes me mad that they don't play Maysonet, and that they had him on the active roster while he was away for I think 4 days because of the baby, and send him down as soon as he is back. That Cubs game might have gone differently if we had that extra roster spot.
Maysonet doesn't really fill the need though. Michaels is a back-up outfielder, Maysonet is a 2B (and we already have a back-up 2B with Keppinger). I'd say if you cut Michaels, bring up Bogusevic.
Yeah - and this is the second time this season that a vicious cycle of injury/extras/****ty starting leads to overuse of the bullpen and... oh right, home run.
