I thought I remember a football player playing a game a few hours before going to the hospital with the same thing. Could be mistaken though.

We've been saying call up Bud Norris because of the back end of the rotation, but that wasn't enough. It took God striking down Oswalt and Wesley Wright for the Astros to finally call this guy up.

Wasn't that Chris Simms with a torn spline? Maybe wrong but either one just sounds super freaking painful.

Wow, the pitching staff suffers an uppercut and a body blow in the span of probably 2 hours.

If Wright's appendix was what was keeping him from throwing strikes, I apologize for overreacting.

Who knows a lot about Norris?

He's struck out a bunch of batters but walked a bunch, too.

What is it about his repetoire that caused some people to think he may be better suited as a closer?

Well my thing is that he has mastered AAA ball so might as well give him a shot and see otherwise move on with someone else...

Sooooooo....someone brought this up earlier but does all these injuries make them more or less likely to make a trade before Friday? Oritz is on borrowed time so a spot should open up and if Roy goes on the DL does Bazardo/ PAulino come up or does Wade do something?
