Well, hopefully, they learned their lesson with Paulino. They screwed him up good moving him to the pen after he was pitching so well in the rotation. Then again...this is the Astros. He may have been called up as an extra bat off the bench.
Well to me if Roy isn't going on the DL right away they will skip him and thats where Norris comes and if he pitches well Ortiz or Hampton are goners...
yeah, but if they did that, what is the urgency to call him up today? heck, even if roy's going on the DL what's the urgency to call him up today? it's a move that you'd wait till Roy's next start to make.
SPLASH...The Stros know that people have been calling for this kid all year and it reminds me of when Pence was called up same story!
What's awesome is that Keppinger RARELY ever swings at the first pitch... and I'm sure that's circulated around the league in scouting reports. But, that only makes him more dangerous once pitchers have that mindset... almost like he can sit dead-red on a pitch right down the middle. Scott Hatteberg had the same approach... and had ridiculous numbers when he actually swung at the first pitch (which of course prompet people to think he should do it more). Of course, that's simply because when he swung at the first pitch, it was a pitch he absolutely loved.
