Yeah, I got that. A correct projection imo, I've been expecting it to happen since the start of the season.

Well they've used up their bullpen arms. I like our chances.

I'm happy to be wrong about the Stros being done in this game, but a couple of things drove me nuts there in the 9th.

Why didn't Coop bunt with 1st and 2nd and nobody out?
Why did Lance swing at 2-0 pitch when a bases loaded walk gives us the lead? Make the guy throw a strike especially since he's normally a starter and not used to situations like that.

Coop made some bad decisions in the 9th inning.

Bunt with 1st and 2nd on 0 outs with Jason Smith.

Walk Soriano with 1st base open and let Theriot ground to DP or Fukudome beat you

I hope they fire Cooper and hire Art Howe for the rest of the season.

We have to win this game. How can we just let a rally like that go to waste? The worst part is that we still had first and second with no one out and go not nothing.

I've never been one to want to fire the manager/coach when a team is doing poorly or comes up short on one than more occasion. However, watching this game, especially the last two innings was very telling about Coop's strategy (or lack thereof). The man has been around baseball over half his life and has forgotten more about baseball than more of us know, but what is he thinking with two men on ans no outs? There really is no reason why we should have lost this game with the kind of rally that we put together in the ninth.

Jared- I couldnt agree with you more. The problem is this is not an isolated instance. Cooper routinely makes bad decisions.

The thinking today just blew my mind. Soriano is a strikeout guy? Sure he is, but still how do you not take the bat out of his hands and pitch to Theriot and then Fukodome. I would much rather take my chances against those guys then let their best player take his swings.

It is just very frustrating when this team just keeps giving away wins. There is no reason this team should not be competing in this division.

Yikes. I didn't see the game but from what I take it, Coop made a "few" bad decisions eh?

blahhhhhhhhhhhh... Would have been a huge victory if we could have sealed the deal. I really like are chances in the NL Central regardless but we can't afford to have games like this end in defeat.

So that leaves the obvious question...who do you put in his place in the rotation that would be better?
