Wow, I thought Houston news stations were over dramatic about weather. I can't tell if I'm watching a Doppler feed or an episode of 24 with this music they have going.
We were at the Cubs game and the heavens opened up at the end of the 5th with the Astros up 2-0. A higher power does not have much faith in our bullpen. After waiting a bit, we decided to go ahead and leave. We are walking down the street with tornado sirens blaring. A cop stopped a taxi going the other way for us and got us headed back to our B&B. A little more excitement than I had planned for the game. Now, I can't wait for our flight into Houston tomorrow.
I was wondering this myself. The radar in Chicago shows another band of rain heading in. We decided to leave when they started staking down the tarp. The timing was just great. The Stros got out of the top of the 5th as soon as they could and just after the 3rd out in the bottom of the 5th, a deluge came down. We hung around for about 1/2 an hour, but a guy below us showed us the radar on his phone and it looked pretty grim.
It was just a typo error. Our crowd is louder in the regular season than your crowd in the playoffs. Oh wait, you guys will never go to one.
will never go to one what? one playoffs? That's the most idiotic statement you could make, regardless of the grammar. Let's measure who has been to the playoffs more in the last 20 years...or shoot, the world series? edit: or maybe you somehow meant we'll never go to a game? Which doesn't make much sense in context...where'd you pull that out from, if that was the point? There are a ton of people on here who post about going to Astros games at home and in all different cities, so it's a bad point anyway if that's the point
And somehow this makes your point that we will never go to "one playoffs" ? Support a team that can back up your talk before you start talking. Just because your team is doing well this year you can suddenly run your mouth? I guess you should take the opportunity...history has shown this is probably your only chance to do so.
how many games back were we when we went to the world series? don't worry dude, come playoff time, all cubs fan will be able to jump on the white sox bandwagon after another world class choke job by the cubs.
