We're fixing to implode. Get ready.

    Edit: maybe not :)

Lucky to get out of that with just the 1 run down. Now to punish them for not taking their chances

Backe on third base with only one out. We really need to score here after the crap in the first innings

Backe gets out of a jam and then gets a hit.. I like when Backe's starts go like this. A couple of breaks can really get him going

'stros better get on the "little things" this year. 2nd/3rd no outs, 2nd no outs (and 3rd 1 out).. come away with zero? As I'm typing this, NOPE! Nice job Darin..

Anyone else think Zambrano really doesn't seem to have his best stuff here? We really need to take advantage

LOL. That wasn't even close, Erstad.

he's changing speeds really well. Leaving some balls up, but not in a hittable place really. Swinging at some bad balls...but he has a lot of movement on his pitches so it's kinda understandable. Just hope they adjust this time through and get more patient.

What the hell...can Erstad still run? I didn't think he'd have a green light..esp. against Zambrano/Blanco..esp. with Carlos up..

that steal attempt was wack, especially with Carlos batting.

well its not that bad because there were 2 outs already. why not lead off with carlos next inning.

and he leads off with a hit.

by that logic, you're saying it's an okay move to attempt a steal of 2nd with anyone anytime there are 2 outs? At least, early in a tie game? I say no way. It's nice that Carlos led off the next inning, but I'd rather have him with an RBI chance. Or let him hit and give Tejada the RBI shot

well no i don't think it's ok... i wouldnt have done it i'd rather have zambrano throw as many pitches in an inning as possible.

changed my argument i guess :D

Backe had a lucky inning last time through the top of the order. Left a pitch up that Soriano swung through. Then another hanging curve. UGLY

i thought his last (before the HR) at bat with soriano was great. fooled him with offspeed stuff and location. made soriano look silly way out ahead of that pitch on strike 2.

1 indeed lol. Can't complain with that. Woohoo

Now we need to make them pay, they've wasted more offensive opportunities than we usually do lol

Yeah I meant the inning before he was up against the bottom of the order. When there were 2 balls smoked (Lee's double, then the liner Bourn jumped to snag) with Ramirez's single sandwiched between. Thought he was lucky to escape that inning with no damage even to his stats (i.e. only 1 hit given up, but some bad pitches and hard hit balls)
