OMG, Wait....if this is true, "Longhorn Nation" might just burn down Reliant Stadium. *crosses fingers*
it's Studdard Strengths: Plays with a mean streak and is physical. Possesses good upper body strength, does a good job of locking onto defender's frame and extends arms once in position. Plays with a non-stop motor and is always looking to throw a block downfield. Possesses adequate-to-good bulk, gets good knee bend in pass protection and rarely gives ground to bull rushers. Weaknesses: He's limited athletically. Doesn't have great explosiveness, doesn't roll hips into blocks and isn't going to knock many defenders back. Is overaggressive, lunges too much and has problems getting into position at the second level when doesn't play under control. Lacks ideal lateral mobility, loses balance when forced to change directions quickly and is vulnerable to double moves. Doesn't have great initial quickness and is going to have problems preventing penetration working against one-gap defenders. Overall: Studdard, whose father played at Texas and spent 10 seasons in the NFL, arrived at Austin in 2002 and was redshirted. In 2003, he appeared in seven games as a backup guard. Studdard became a starter in 2004 at left guard for each of Texas' 12 games. In 2005, he once again started every game (13) as a member of the nation's top scoring offense (50.2 points per game). He started all 13 games at left guard as a senior in 2006, when he was named first-team All-Big 12 by the AP and the league's coaches. Studdard is a classic overachiever. He isn't explosive and he is a better run blocker than he is a pass blocker. He is very much limited in terms of his overall athleticism and range. However, he has adequate size and strength, and what impresses us the most is that he's a fighter. Despite his obvious physical limitations, Studdard warrants consideration in the final two rounds of the 2007 NFL draft.
Studdard is a very solid player and was probably our 2nd best lineman behind Blalock. He has decent size, not sure about how strong he is. What I really like about Studdard is his motor, he plays with a lot of intensity and goes hard every play.
Ok, I saw the summary on Jacoby Jones and he looks good but, did we just get another PR/KR? What does this mean for Jerome Mathis? Are they going to try to better incorporate Mathis' speed into the offense? Is Mathis in our future plans?
Jones is a good PR/KR but Mathis is our guy for that. We had very little depth at WR so getting one through was important. Hopefully Kubiak can find a way to use their speed in the offense.
I SHALL NEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR give it up. I will continue to mock and poop the Texans. Today's neat little hip hop song will be a trio of young hot atlanta girls. And when I mean hot, i mean fire starting hot. Every now and then I get a little crazy That's not the way it's supposed to be Sometimes my vision is a little hazy I can't tell who I should trust or just who I let trust me (yeah) People try to say I act a little funny But that's just a figure of speech to me They tell me I changed because I got money But if you were there before then you're still down with me [Chorus:] What about your friends Will they let you down again What about your friends are they gonna be low down Will they ever be around or will they turn their backs on you Well is it me or can it be I'm a little too Friendly so to speak hypothetically Say I supply creativity to what others Must take as a form of self-hate Only to make an enemy Which results in unfortunate destiny They dog me out then be next to me Just cause I am what some choose to envy Every now and then I get a little easy I let a lot of people depend on me I never though they would ever deceive me Don't you know when times got rough I was standing on my own I'll never let another get that clost to me You see I've grown a lot smarter now Sometimes you have to choose and then you'll see If your friends is true they'll be there with you Through the thick and thin [Chorus] Yo is it me, is it me or can it be I am a little too friendly So to speak hypothetically 'Cause I supply creativity to what others Must take as a form of self-hate Only to make an enemy Which results in unfortunate destiny They dog me out then be next to me Just cause I am what some choose to envy [Chorus] People say I asc a little funny I wouldn't change not for no money I'll be a friend as long as you're a friend to me (yeah, yeah) Even though I might seem easy It don't give you no cause to deceive me It's not the way that I want my friends to ever be [Chorus]
come on kenny scott or darius walker! but I can see us going with Siler if he's there... good spot to add to LB depth a little.
