Good for him. He wouldn't have done that here with Espada. I don't know if the Red Sox have what it takes to go to the post season, but I knew Boston would be the best place for Bregman offensively if he took a shorter deal.
If they’re winning late on west coast games I’ll go to sleep. If they win it’s cool, if not I didn’t want to see it anyway
Abreu's outing vs SEA was brutal -- but he's ahead of last season (ERA 6.75, April 15th), plus he's proven. I think Hader is set for an awesome season. He struggled his first year with SD too, then balled out.
I would have traded Dubon - I don’t think he is worth 5 million and he is one of those guys managers always like and over play. If I were GM, I would not give Espada the temptation… that five million could have been used on another bat or arm.
That’s Espada. Brown tries to give his manager some room and latitude. Espada likes Dubon… just like Dusty did. Dubon is just one of those guys managers love to play because they can play anywhere, make contact and always available… unfortunately these types of players suck when over played.
At least Maldy hit with some pop… but yeah, you have the idea. Every time I see Dubon start in the outfield I get pissed off.
Abreu's control has been very spotty this year. I'm glad that he finally started challenging hitters with his fastball.
